The Republic of Uzbekistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Western Uzbekistan Rural Water Supply Project, and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
The ADB Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Economy, the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of the following goods:

Bidders may quote for one or any number of Lots.
International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with
ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Economy and inspect the Bidding Document at the office address given below from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
To purchase the Bidding Document in English and Russian, eligible bidders should:

- pay of a non-refundable fee of Uzbek Soum 123,000.0 or US$100.0 by bank transfer to the following accounts:

The documentation will be available for collection at above address on receipt of the payment. The document will be sent by courier services if required, upon payment of $65.00. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
Bidders must deliver their bids:
- to the address below
- on or before 16:00 hours on 14 September 2006. Late bids will be rejected.
- together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Total Bid Price.
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidder's representatives who choose to attend.
The Purchaser will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation and delivery of bids.
When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
