- Excavation of a new Sediment Basin next to the Amu Zang 1 pump station near Termez, Sukhundarya oblast, Uzbekistan. The Sediment Basin is approximately 1.5 km long with a bed width of 60 metres. The total volume of excavated material is approximately 2,905,000 cu. m. The excavation will be carried out partly above and partly below the water table. The works will include connecting the new Sediment Basin to the Amu Darya river
- Installation of approximately 3 km of buried 10 kV electrical cable, associated switchgear and fittings which will be used to provide electrical power to two dredgers operating in the Sediment Basin. All materials for the 10 kV electrical supply will be procured under a separate contract and handed over to the Contractor by the Employer. Some concrete foundations for switchgear panels will be constructed under this contract
- Installation of approximately 2 km of 450 mm diameter steel discharge pipework together with associated valves and fittings. All pipe materials will be procured under a separate contract and will be supplied to the Contractor by the Employer. Some concrete foundations for pipes will be constructed under this contract
- Design and construction of 4 piled pipe support structures in the Amu Darya river. These structures are required to carry discharge pipework from the dredgers approximately 40 metres into the river in order to ensure that dredged material is carried away by the river current
- Realignment of an 1800m length of the existing border control line, including fencing and access road and the relocation of an existing watch tower structure
- Design, construction and installation of a 100 metre long floating steel trash exclusion boom at the entrance to the Sediment Basin
- The time for construction will be two years from the start of the contract
- Participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least 3 contracts within the last 5 years, each with a value of at least US$ 6 million that have been successfully or are substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works
- Completion of bulk earthworks production of at least 1.5 million cubic metres per year
- Peak earthworks production rate of at least 200,000 cubic metres per month
- Minimum average annual construction turnover of US$ 8.5 million, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 3 years
- The Bidder must demonstrate that it has the following key equipment: excavator 1 cu.m. minimum - 5 nr; bull dozer 120-125 kW - 5 nr, motor grader 140 HP - 2 nr; dump truck 10 tonne - 20 nr; piling rig (60 cm dia bored piles) - 1 nr
- The Bidder must demonstrate that it has the personnel for the key positions: Construction Manager (Earthworks); Senior Electrical Engineer; Survey Engineer
