REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Loan Nos. 2205: East-West Highway Improvement Project
The Government of Azerbaijan Republic has applied for a loan from the Asia Development Bank (ADB), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan under East-West Highway Improvement Project for the consulting services for the preparation of detailed engineering design, tender documents and environmetal, social/poverty assessment for Yevlakh-Ganja, Gazakh-Georgian Border and ten local roads in the Project area and construction supervision. The services requested include preparation of detailed engineering design, Specifications and Bill of Quantity and tender documents based on the standards of ADB on the existing alignment. The RoadTransService Department of the Ministry of Transport now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills , etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Consultant will be selected based on Quality- and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) method in accordance with the ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants . The services are expected to start not later than August 2006. Interested consulting firms from ADB's member countries may obtain further information at the address below from 10:00 to 16:00 hours (local time).
