The Lao People's Democratic Republic has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Vientiane Urban Infrastructure and Services Project, and it intends that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

Vientiane Urban Development and Administration Authority (VUDAA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the rehabilitation, reconstruction and completion of roads and drainage works.

A Bidder may bid for one lot or any combination of lots.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to bidders from eligible source countries.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the office address given below.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, starting 21 November 2005, eligible bidders should:

  • pay of a non-refundable fee of US$100.0 per lot
Bidders should submit their bids:
  • to the address below
  • on or before 3 January 2006
  • together with a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Total Bid Price in Kip or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency

In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document
