The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Acid Rain Control and Environmental Improvement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

The China Far East International Trading Corp. (CFEITC), authorized by Tongling Yaxing Coking Gas Limited Liability Company (TCG), the Procurement Agent, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of ADB for the supply of the following goods for the Project:

Package No: 0722-0520FE307AHB/05: Procurement of Installation and Construction Materials

(Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document)

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document at the office address given below commencing 20 October 2005 from 9:00am to 17:00pm.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  • write to the address below
  • pay a nonrefundable fee of RMB 2,000 or USD 250, between 9:00 am to 17:00 pm (Beijing Time), in cash or bank draft in favor of the Procurement Agent

The Bidding Document will be sent by express mail for an additional fee of RMB 200 (domestic) or USD 100 (abroad), in certified check.

Bidder should deliver their bids:
  • to the address below
  • on or before 9:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on 20 December 2005
  • together with Bid Security of not less than two percent (2%) of the Total Bid Price

Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened immediately in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address given above.

The Procurement Agent will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instruction to Bidders.
