Invitation for Bids

The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Yichang-Wanzhou Railway Project, and it intends that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

CMC International Tendering Company, the Procurement Agent for the Ministry of Railways, the Purchaser, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for:

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

A Bidder may bid for any combination of lots.

To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  • write to the address below
  • pay of a non-refundable fee of US$200.0

Documents may be sent by mail or courier for an additional fee of RMB100.0 (domestic) or USD50.0 (international).

The Purchaser accepts no liability for loss or late delivery.

Bidders should submit their bids:
  • to the address below
  • at or before 10:00 am (Beijing time) for Bid No. 0702-0520CITC7002A and 10:30 am (Beijing time) for Bid No. 0702-0520CITC7002B on 16 January 2006
  • together with a Bid Security of not less than two percent of the total bid price

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose to attend.
