Loan 2182-PRC: Zhengzhou-Xi'an Railway Project
The People's Republic of China has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Zhengzhou-Xi'an Railway Project. The loan was approved 22 September 2005.
The Project is located in the western part of Henan province and southeastern part of Shaanxi province. The Project is designed to promote sustainable economic growth by constructing 459 km of railway line from Zhengzhou in Henan to Xi'an in Shaanxi. ProcurementAll ADB-financed procurement will follow ADB's Guidelines for Procurement . Equipment will be procured using international competitive bidding. Works will be procured using local competitive bidding procedures. Consulting Services
The ADB loan will be used to finance 20 person-months of international consulting services and 120 person-months of domestic consulting services while the Government will engage and finance about 28,000 person-months of qualified international and domestic consultants. Consultants will be selected and engaged in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants and other arrangements satisfactory to ADB for selecting and engaging domestic consultants.
