1. India has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Transmission Component project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for procurement of various items/materials for EHV Lines and Substations.:

2. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below, on any working day between 14.00 hours and 17.00 hours.

4. The Bidding Document in the English language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders on submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of non refundable fee of Rs.5,000 or US$ 100 by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, MPPTCL, Jabalpur (M.P.) India. The document will be sent by post or may be obtained by hand. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery of documents sent by registered post.

5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14.30 hours on the specified Bid submission date indicated in the table below. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of an appropriate amount, either in US$ or Indian Rupees separately for each of the lots, as detailed below:

6. Bid Security shall also be acceptable in any freely convertible currency for the amounts equivalent to US$ as mentioned prior to the date of bid opening.

7. Late Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 15.30 hours on the specified Bid submission date indicated in the table above.

8. The Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited will not be responsible for any cost or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.

9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in "Instructions to Bidders" of Bid Document.
