1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of "Chittagong Port Trade Facilitation Project"(CPTFP) and it is intended to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above.
2. The Chittagong Port Authority now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for "Supply and Installation of Equipment for Oily Waste Collection including Equipment for Oil spills clearing and water quality testing (CPA-2)."
3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
4. To obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents, bidders should contact the address below from Sundays to Thursdays, from 9:00-17:00 hours (BST):

5. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should:
- write to the address above
- pay a nonrefundable fee of BDT 6,800.00 or US$100. The method of payment will be through Sonali Bank, Port Branch in favour of Chittagong Port Authority
The document may also be sent by Courier Service or directly to the representative of Bidders. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
6. Deliver your bid:
- to the address above
- on or before 11:00 hours (BST), on 17 December 2007. Late bids will be rejected.
- together with a Bid Security of US$ 65,000.00
Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
7. The Chittagong Port Authority will not be responsible for any costs or expense incurred by the Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
8. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instructions to Bidders.
