1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Gas Transmission and Development Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to all bidders either as a single entity or in joint venture from eligible source countries of the ADB.
2. The Gas Transmission Company Limited (the Employer), a company of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla), invites sealed re-bids for the construction and completion of Design, Engineering, Manufacture, Delivery, Assembly, Installation, Painting, Testing, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up and Training during Operation & Maintenance of 3 numbers of Natural Gas Compressor Station and ancillary facilities at Rashidpur (Muchai), Ashuganj (South & West) and Elenga including tie-in works with existing facilities; related civil works; installation of gas measurement facilities; piping; instrumentation; installation of control logic & control instruments; workshop with necessary equipment/tools, supply of spare parts; two years' operation & maintenance and on the job training to the Employer's engineers and technicians/operators ("the Facilities").
3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Two-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure.
4. Eligible bidders should have:
- Write to the address below from 23 January 2008 requesting the Bidding Documents for GTCL/ CSP/ EPC/001 (Re), Compressor Station Project.
- Experience on turnkey basis of at least 1 high pressure (operating at 600 psig and above) natural gas transmission pipeline compressor station having minimum capacity of each station @ 300 MMSCFD or 1 high-pressure (operating at 600 psig and above) natural gas transmission pipeline compressor station having minimum 8 MW ISO Rated compressor driver rating within last 10 years, and
- Have a project management experience in at least one contract amount not less than US$ 44 million outside the bidders own country within the last 10 years.

6. To purchase the Bidding Documents in English, eligible bidders should:
- Write to address above requesting the Bidding Documents for GTCL/CSP/EPC/001(Re), Compressor Station Project.
- Pay a non-refundable fee of USD 300 or Tk. 20,000 in the form of Pay Order/Demand Draft/cash in favor of Gas Transmission Company Limited.
7. Deliver your bid:
- to the above address
- on or before the deadline of dated 4 June 2008 at 11:00 am BST
- together with a Bid Security of Bangladesh Taka 75 million or USD 1.0 million
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.
8. When comparing Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
