1. The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Gas Transmission and Development Project and it is intended that a Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to eligible bidder(s) from eligible source countries of ADB.
2. The Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible bidder(s) whose fabricator(s)/manufacturer(s) should have a minimum 5 years experience in design, fabrication and supply of pipeline induction bends in accordance with clause 1.1 of Section VI of Bidding Document and under applicable certification to fabricate long radius pipeline induction bends up to 323.90 mm OD from API Specification 5L X60 seamless steel pipe and should have export track record of supplying 1 consignment had 323.90 mm OD long radius induction bends within last 5 years. As evidence, the bidder must provide at least 1 completion certificate from 1 client/purchaser for supply of 323.90 mm OD Induction Bends to construct 323.90mm OD 53.00 km length High Pressure (1,000 Psig) Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline from Bonpara to Rajshahi.

3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure .

5. To purchase the bidding document in English, eligible and interested bidders:
- should submit a written application to the address above and upon payments of a non-refundable fee of US$ 70 or Tk. 5,000 in the form of Pay Order/Demand Draft/cashier's check in favour of Gas Transmission Company Limited from 21 September 2008 to 4 November 2008 during working hours on all working days.
or
- request for delivery by sending a written application to Project Director, Bonpara-Rajshahi Gas Transmission Pipeline Project at the address mentioned above. The application must include a Pay Order/Demand Draft/cashier's check over Tk. 5,500 (local delivery) or US$ 100 (overseas delivery). The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

- Together with a Bid Security of US$ 5,000 or Tk. 350,000 as per Bid Security format of Section IV in the Bidding Document. A Bid Security shall be required in the form of bank guarantee/ irrevocable letter of credit/ cashier's or certified check shall be from a reputed bank from an eligible country duly confirmed by a schedule Bank of Bangladesh.
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline on 5 November 2008 in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend.
