Proposed Road Network Project II
The Royal Government of Bhutan has applied for a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Road Network Project II.
The proposed Project will upgrade or construct 5 sections (about 180 km) of the southern east-west highway and will purchase equipment necessary for the Government to enhance sector capacity. Consulting services will be provided to prepare detailed design and support implementation of the civil works.
Procurement to be financed under the Project will be carried out in accordance with ADB's Procurement Guidelines . International competitive bidding (ICB) with domestic margin of preference will be used for works. National competitive bidding (NCB) will be used for goods between $0.1 million and $0.5 million, and shopping if the estimated contract amount is less than $0.1 million. Consultants will be selected and engaged in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the A ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants.
This notice is based on advance contracting approved on 27 July 2009.
The Department of Roads of the Royal Government of Bhutan will be the Executing Agency responsible for overall implementation of the Project.
