1. The Kingdom of Cambodia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of GMS Transmission Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Loan to payments under the contract for Supply of Operation and Maintenance Trucks and Equipment.
2. The Electricite du Cambodge now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for supplying of fifteen (15) units of Elevated Platform Trucks, five (05) units of Crane Trucks and Two (2) units of Cable Fault Location Tested Vans.
3. International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Electricite du Cambodge and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8:00 to 12:00 hours and from 14:00 to 17:00 hours on Monday through Friday.
5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:
- visit the office of Electricite du Cambodge at the address indicated below and pay a nonrefundable fee of US$50 in cash or bank draft drawn on a bank within Cambodia;
or
- request for delivery by sending a written application to the Electricite du Cambodge at the address indicated below and pay a nonrefundable fee of US$100 for local delivery or US$200 for overseas delivery. The mode of payment will be in the form of bank draft drawn on a bank within Cambodia. The document will be sent by surface mail or courier for local delivery and by airmail or courier services for overseas delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
6. Bids must be delivered:
- to the address indicated below;
- on or 10.00 hours local time on 19 January 2010. Late bids will not be accepted.
- together with a Bid Security of 2% of the total bid price in the form of a certified check, letter of credit or a bank guarantee from a reputable bank selected by the bidder and located in any eligible country
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of the bidder's representatives who choose to attend.
7. Electricite du Cambodge will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
