1. This invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the ADB's Business Opportunities in April 2005.
2. The Government of the Federated States of Micronesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Omnibus Infrastructure Project. Part of the proceeds of this Loan will be used for payments under the contract named above.
3. The Site is located within the municipalities of Tomil and Maap in Yap State and involves the installation and development of three new tube wells and rehabilitation of four existing tube wells which are the source of water to the Tomil-Gagil Water Supply System.
4. The Loan is being implemented by the Yap State Department of Public Works and Transport (Employer). The Yap State Department of Public Works and Transport invites bids from qualified and experienced Contractors to construct and supply new wells in Maap, Yap State.
5. Shopping will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Procurement Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
6. Interested Contractors must demonstrate their ability to undertake the above-mentioned works.
7. Further information and copies of the procurement documents can be obtained starting 20 November 2008 at the address indicated below.
8. Bids must be submitted to the following address on or before 3:00pm on 18 December 2008.
