1.    India has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Distribution Component Project (Project 5) and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPMKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

Bidders are free to bid for one or two lots but not more than two lots.

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    To obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document, bidders should contact the address below from 14:30 to 17:30 hours during working days starting 21 February 2009:

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  1. Visit the office of the Project Director at the address above and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$ 205 for individual lot by demand draft or banker's cheque payable to MP MKVVCL, Bhopal (MP) India.
    OR
  2. Request for delivery by sending a written application to the address indicated above. The application must include a demand draft or banker's cheque payable to MP MKVVCL, Bhopal (MP) India for the amount of Rs.10,500 (domestic delivery) or US$ 215 (overseas delivery). The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
    OR
  3. Those bidders who wish to download the Bidding Document from the website, shall be eligible only after paying a non-refundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US $ 205 for individual lot by demand draft or banker's cheque at the time of submission of Bid form. Any Discrepancy in the Bid Document downloaded from the website shall not be the responsibility of the MPMKVVCL.

6.    Pre-bid conferences will be held at 15:00 hours on 07 March 2009 for Packages 04 & 05 and 12 March 2009 for package no. 06 & 07 respectively.

7.    Bidders must deliver their bids:

  • to the address above
  • on or before 14:30 hours, on the respective dates mentioned above. Late submission of bids shall be rejected.
  • together with the following Bid Security as stated in the table above.

8.    Bids will be opened at 15.00 Hrs on respective dates as mentioned in the table above in the presence of Bidder's representative who choose to attend at the address above.

9.    MPMKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
