1.    India has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

Supply of materials, survey, installation, testing commissioning and AMC of high voltage distribution system

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    To obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document, bidders should contact the following from 13:00 to 17:00 hours during working days starting 16 February 2009.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  1. visit the office of the Chief Engineer (W&P) at the address above and pay a nonrefundable fee Rs 10,000 or US$250 in the form of demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India for each bid identification no.;
    or
  2. request for delivery by sending a written application to the Chief Engineer (W&P) at the address above. The application must include a demand draft or banker's cheque payable to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India for each bid identification no., for the amount of Rs 10,250 or US$250. The Bidding Documents will be sent by domestic post and by courier outside India at an additional cost. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.    A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 16 March 2009 at Banquet Hall, Shakti Bhawan, Rampur, Jabalpur.

7.    Bidders must deliver their bids:

8.    Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 30 March 2009 in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9.    MPPKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
