1.    India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Railway Sector Improvement Project. Part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for payments for works under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to eligible bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2.    Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) (the Employer) now invites sealed bids for the following contracts:

3.    Bidders are advised to note the eligibility and minimum qualifying criteria specified in the Bidding Documents.

4.    National Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Documents, bidders should:

  • Submit a written application to the address below between 10:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs on all working days;
  • Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.10,000 for each Bidding Document. Payment will be in the form of a crossed Demand Draft on any Scheduled bank payable at Hyderabad drawn in favor of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited.
  • The Bidding Documents may also be sent by post for an additional fee of Rs. 500 each. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
  • The Bidding Documents can also be downloaded from RVNL website http://www.rvnl.org and the bids can be submitted on the downloaded document. It will be the responsibility of the bidder who is submitting the bid on downloaded Bidding Document to check and see any addendum/Corrigendum issued in this regard from the website to ensure submission of bid along with all addendum/Corrigendum.

6.    Bids must be accompanied by a bid security as stated in the table above in any one of the forms as specified in the bidding documents and shall have to be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the bid.

7.    A pre-bid meeting will be held at the address indicated below on the time and date specified below:

9.    Rail Vikas Nigam Limited will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with preparation or delivery of bids.
