1.    India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 4 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following package:

1 PPR-17 Supply, installation, testing, survey, erection, installation & commissioning of CT operated static electronics trivector meters with GSM modem on distribution transformers, earthing of DTR sub-station and installation of robust fuse units on DTR in Indore, Dhar, Jhabua, Khargone & Barwani districts in Indore region and Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Dewas, Shajapur,, and Neemuch district in Ujjain Region of West DISCOM of M.P. on turnkey basis.

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should

  • Pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.10,000 or US$250 by demand draft or banker's cheque in favor of MPPKVVCL, Indore (MP) India
  • the documents will be obtained by hand or sent by domestic post or by courier outside India at additional cost.

6.    A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 30 January 2009.

7.    Bidders must deliver their bids:

  • to the address above
  • at or before 15:00 hours on 25 February 2009
  • together with the following Bid Security, US$106,000 or Rs. 49.82 lacs.

8.    Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 25 February 2009 in the presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9.    MPMKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
