1.    India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project 5 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

5.   Conversion of existing LT line single phase 3 wire to 3 phase 4 wire using AB XLPE cable Km (Ckt) 200

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    To obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Document, bidders should contact the following from 13:00 to 17:00 hours during working days:

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

  • visit the office of MPPKVVCL at the address indicated above and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 10,000 or US$ 250 payable by demand draft or banker's cheque in favour of to RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India. Cheque / Cash / Postal orders will not be accepted.

  • request for delivery by sending a written application to the office of MPPKVVCL at the address indicated above. The application must include demand draft or banker's cheque in favour of RAO, JC, MPPKVVCL, Jabalpur (MP) India, for the amount of Rs.10,200 (domestic delivery) or US$ 250 (overseas delivery). The Bidding Documents will be sent by domestic post and by courier outside India at an additional cost. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.    A pre-bid conference will be held at 15:00 hours on 27 October 2009 at Banquet Hall, Shakti Bhawan, Rampur, Jabalpur.

7.    Bids must be delivered:

  • to the address above;
  • on or before 14:30 hours, on 25 November 2009. Late bids will be rejected.
  • together with a Bid Security of US$ 194,892 or Rs 0.95 Crore

8.    Bids will be opened at 15:30 hours on 25 November 2009 in presence of bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above.

9.    MPPKVVCL will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the delivery or preparation of bids.
