1.    India has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Madhya Pradesh Power Sector Investment Program - Project-5 and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts named above.

2.    The Madhya Pradesh Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd. (MPPKVVCL) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following packages:

3.    International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's "Single-Stage: Two-Envelope" bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible Bidders should:

  1. Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) or US$ 250 (US Dollar Two Hundred Fifty only) by Demand Draft or banker's Cheque in favor of MPPKVVCL Indore payable at Indore (M.P.) India.

  2. The documents could be obtained by hand or sent by domestic post at an additional cost of Rs. 300/- by demand draft or by courier outside India at additional cost.

6.    A Pre-Bid conference will be held at 15:00 Hours on 15 February 2010.

7.    Bidders must deliver their bids:

  1. to the address above at or before 15:00 Hours on the above deadline;

  2. together with the Bid Security as mentioned in the table above.

8.    Bid will be opened at 15:30 Hours on the same day of the deadline in the presence of Bidders' representatives who chose to attend at the address above. Late bids will be rejected.

9.    The Madhya Pradesh Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd. will not be responsible for costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
