1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the adb.org on 5 February 2007.

2. The Kyrgyz Republic received a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Second Education Project, and it intends to apply part of the grant proceeds to eligible payments under the contracts for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.

3. The Central Project Implementation Unit, Ministry of Education and Science now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the following:

IFB No. MOES ICB COE-I:
  • Lot 1: Computer Equipment
  • Lot 2: Language laboratory Equipment
  • Lot 3: Computer Furniture
Bidders are free to bid for one lot or a combination of lots

4. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from 09.00 to 17.30 hours, Monday to Friday, except public holidays.

6. A complete set of bidding documents, in English, may be purchased by interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$200.

The documents may be collected from the address given below or may be sent by courier services for an additional fee.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 09:45 hours (Bishkek time) on 17 August 2007. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 2% of the Total Bid Price. Bids will be opened on the same day at 10:00 hours (Bishkek time), in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
