PAK: Multi-Tranche Financing Facility National Highway Development Sector Investment Program [Batch 2]

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan intends to apply for loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Batch 2 of the Multi-tranche Financing Facility (MFF) National Highway Development Sector Investment Program (NHDSIP).

The proposed loan will finance Batch 2 subprojects under NHDSIP. It will improve and/or rehabilitate about 300 km of selected strategic national highways (Peshawar - Torkham Section-II, Sukkur - Jacobabad, Tarnol - Fatehjang - Jhand and Zhob - Mughal kot.

Procurement: ADB would finance those roads, which meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Procurement to be financed under the Project will be carried out in accordance with ADB's Procurement Guidelines 2006 as amended from time to time.

Four subproject roads as detailed below, out of which, construction supervision shall be needed for packages ICB 8 and 9.

An advance action on procurement has been approved by ADB.

The bidders shall be post qualified after receipt of bids on the basis of information provided therein concerning bidder's experience, financial position etc on prescribed forms in the bidding documents. The evaluation shall be carried out on a Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure.

The National Highway Authority, the Executing Agency, reserves the right to withdraw from this process at any stage without any obligation / expenses incurred by the participants.
