Loan 2310: Sindh Coastal Community Development Project
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Sindh Coastal Community Development Project. The loan was approved 15 January 2007. The Project aims to reduce poverty for the inhabitants of the coastal zone of Thatta and Badin districts in Sindh Province. The Project strategy is to help these households sustainably increase their incomes, their access to public services, and their capacity to mange the natural resource base on which they live. Procurement:Goods, related services, and civil works will be procured in accordance with ADB's Procurement Guidelines. Through National Competitive Bidding/Shopping:
- Medium-scale civil works or community initiatives
- Hatchery rehabilitation and field pond trials, civil works
- Vehicles for project
- Office equipment and miscellaneous supplies
The Project will provide 250 person-months of specialized services of national consultants, as well as 23 person-months of international consulting services under long-term and short-term appointments through consulting firms and individual consultants. International and national. All consultants will be engaged in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants.
