1. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Power Distribution Enhancement Investment Program, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Procurement of Static Energy Meters.
2. Gujranwala Electric Power Company now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Static Energy Meters in One lot.

3. National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Chief Engineer Development GEPCO and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below, from 8 am to 2:30 pm from 15 June 2009.
5. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:
- submit a written application to the address below;
- pay a nonrefundable fee PRs.6,000 or US $ 75. The method of payment will be Bank Draft from any scheduled bank of Pakistan in favor of GEPCO, 565-A Model Town G.T Road Gujranwala. The document will be handed over in person to the bidder or his/her representative. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
6. Bids must be delivered:

- All Bids must be accompanied by A Bid Security of an amount not less than PRs.0.9 Million for Lot-1, is required.
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who chose to attend.
7. GEPCO will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
