1.    The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Power Distribution Enhancement Investment Program and part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2.    The Peshawar Electricity Supply Company, PESCO (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of Grid Station Equipment.

3.    National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4.    Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Chief Engineer Development PESCO and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below, from 8 am to 2:30 pm.

5.    To purchase the Bidding Document in English, bidders should:

  • submit a written application to the address below;
  • pay a nonrefundable fee PRs.4,000 or US $ 50. The method of payment will be by Bank Draft from any scheduled bank of Pakistan in favor of PESCO, Shami Road Wapda House Peshawar. The document will be handed over in person to the bidder or his/her representative. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.    Bids must be delivered:

  • All Bids must be accompanied by A Bid Security of an amount not less than 2% of the bid for each lot is required.

Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend.

7.    PESCO will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
