1.    This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the ADB Business Opportunities on 10 March 2008.

2.    The People's Republic of China has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Central Yunnan Roads Development project.

3.    Instrimpex International Tendering Company (CNIITC), authorized by Yunnan Wukun Expressway Corporation (the Employer), intends to pre-qualify firms(contractors) for the following civil works contracts under this project:

4.    It is expected that the Invitation for Bids will be made in January 2009.

5.    Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from CNIITC and inquire the Prequalification Document at the address given below, between 8:30 - 11:00 and 13:30 - 16:30 (Beijing time) starting on 29 September 2008.

6.    To purchase the Prequalification Document in English, applicants should:

  1. visit the office of CNIITC address below and pay a non-refundable fee of RMB 2,000 in cash; or
  2. Request for delivery by sending a written application to the CNIITC at the address indicated above. The application must include a cashier's check of RMB2,100 or evidence of direct deposit to CNIITC's account. The document will be sent by courier. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

7.    Applications must be delivered:

  • to the Employer's address below;
  • on or before 17:00 p.m. on 11 November 2008. Late application will not be accepted.

8.    The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of their Applications.

9.    The Employer will notify all Applicants in writing of the names of those Applicants who have been prequalified.
