1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the adb.org on 6 October 2006.

2. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Shandong Hai River Basin Pollution Control Project and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this to payments under the contracts named above.

3. China International Tendering Company (ITC), the Procurement Agent, authorized by Kaichung Water Purification Co. Ltd., Binzhou Economic Development Zone, the Purchaser, now in invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of goods and related services for Binzhou No. 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant and Reclaimed Utilization.

4. International Completive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the address given below from 9:30 to 11:30 am and 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

6. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should: write to the address below between 9:00 to 11:00 am during working days from 31 July 2007 pay a nonrefundable fee of 1000 CNY.

7. Deliver your bids:
  • to the address below
  • on or before the deadline: 10:00 am (Beijing Time), 18 September 2007
  • together with a Bid Security of 700,000 CNY or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected

8. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders' representative who choose to attend at the above address.
