1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the ADB Business Opportunities issued on 6 October 2006.
2. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Shandong Hai River Basin Pollution Control Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for the supply and installation of anti-leakage materials and landfill closure materials for No.1 section.
3. China International Tendering Company (hereinafter referred to as ITC), entrusted by Linqing City Yunhe Domestic Solid Waste Disposal Limited Liability Co., (hereinafter referred to as the Purchaser), now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and installation of anti-leakage materials and landfill closure materials for No.1 section under contract No.: LQSWM/G2.
4. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from China ITC and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9:30-11:30am and 1:00-4:00pm starting 10 March 2008.
6. To purchase the Bidding Document in English, eligible bidders should:

- All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 500,000 CNY or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the same address at 10: 00 am (Beijing Time) on 24 April 2008.
8. China ITC will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
9. In the comparison of Bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Bidding Document.
