1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in the adb.org on 19 April 2006.

2. The People's Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Guangxi Nanning Urban Environmental Upgrading Project and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract named above.

3. CNCCC International Tendering Company Ltd. (CNCCC-ITC) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of:

Details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document. Delivery is 40 days after the effectiveness of contract. Bidders are free to bid for one lot or any combination of lots.

4. International Completive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: One-Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from CNCCC-ITC, and inspect the Bidding Document, at the address given below between 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (Beijing time)

6. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMB2500 or US$300. The method of payment will be by cash, cashier's check or direct deposit to:

The documents may be sent by courier services for an additional fee of RMB200 or US$25. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 9:30 a.m. (Beijing time) on 25 July 2007. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of no less than 2% of the Total Bid Price. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders' representative who choose to attend at the address below.

8. CNCCC-ITC will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

9. In the comparison of bids, ADB's Domestic Preference Scheme will be applied in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the Instructions to Bidders.
