Individual International Consultants

Loan 2111-NEP(SF): Skills for Employment Project

1. Government of Nepal (GON) has received a loan from the special fund resources of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Skills for Employment Project, Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Ministry of Education and sports (MOES), and intends to apply a portion of proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under this contract.

2. The CTEVT, Skills for Employment Project now invites eligible Individual International Consultant to express their interest for providing the services listing the specific area of specialization for which s/he is interested. Interested individual international consultant must submit Curriculum Vitae in ADB format having information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (qualifications, description of similar assignment, experience in similar conditions, etc).

3. Interested individual consultant may obtain further information and a copy of the detailed TOR at the address below from 10:00 to 17:00 Hrs on Sunday to Thursday and 10:00 to 15:00 Hrs on Friday. Expressions of interest must be submitted in English and delivered by mail, fax, or e-mail to the address below by 6 March 2007, with the area of specialization clearly specified on the submission. The individual consultant will be selected and engaged in accordance with the Guidelines on the Use of Consultants by Asian Development Bank and its Borrowers.

4. Consulting Services:

The areas of specialization and total number of Individual International
  • (1) Labour Market Information Specialist - 2 person-months - intermittent input in 2 stages spread in 4 months
  • (1) Employment Service Specialist - 2 person-months - intermittent input in 2 stages spread in 4 months
5. Tentative commencement date of services will be April 2007

6. The Duty Station of the consultant shall be in Kathmandu with limited field visits.

7. Individual consultants who have already registered in ADB-DICON, may send updated CV if felt necessary.
