Invitation for Submission of Expressions of InterestLoan No. 2012: MWSS New Water Source DevelopmentCONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN FOR THE PROPOSED BNAQ-6, PHASE 2: (11.50 Km. NEW BICTI-NOVALICHES AQUEDUCT NO. 6) The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) will undertake the construction of new tunnel and aqueduct (BNAQ-6 Phase 2) with a total length of about 11.50 Km. that will be interconnected to the 5.50 km aqueduct (BNAQ-6 Phase 1). The interconnected aqueduct (BNAQ-6, Phases 1 & 2) will serve as a by-pass during rehabilitation of the existing aqueducts and will also be utilized to accommodate any additional supply from Angat and Umiray Rivers Basin. MWSS secured a Technical Assistance Loan from ADB (TA Loan No. 2012 PHI) to finance the consultancy services of the project. The consulting services shall cover, among others the following: 1. Preparation of detailed engineering design and detailed cost estimates; 2. Preparation of bid/tender documents; and 3. Provide assistance to the MWSS BAC in the tender process (pre-bid conference, evaluation, etc.) leading to contract award MWSS therefore is inviting Foreign and Local consulting firms to submit their applications for pre-qualification together with their company profile and organizational structure which will provide information regarding their field of expertise and specialization and the experiences of key personnel who will be assigned to undertake the required consultancy services. On the basis of the submissions, MWSS will shortlist the consultancy firms. Interested parties may secure the pre-qualification statement/forms and submit the same in five (5) sets (1-set original and 4-copies), together with the other required submittals, on or before 5:00 P.M. (Manila time) of July 26, 2005 to the Office address stated below. Reference time shall be the bundy clock located at the same office. Late submission will not be accepted.
