Loan 1637-MLD: Post Secondary Education Development ProjectInvitation to Bid for Individual Consultants1. The Maldives College of Higher Education has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank ("ADB") towards the cost of Post Secondary Development Project and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the Consultancy Services for Individual Consultants for the following two areas. (the Consultant). 2. Terms of reference for the two individual consultants are available from the address below. a. Consultancy to develop Architecture Curriculum for the Faculty of Engineering Technology of Maldives College of Higher Education. Download the detailed Terms of Reference. b. Consultancy for Centre for Maritime Studies of Maldives College of Higher Education for achieving ISO 9001-2000 Certification. Download the detailed Terms of Reference. 3. The Project Implementation Unit of Maldives College of Higher Education now invites sealed bids from individual consultants from member countries of ADB for the supply of the Goods for the purposes of the Project. 4. Interested individual consultants must send their CVS and completed Schedule C to the address provided below. 5. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening. 7. Submissions of bids must be received in sealed envelopes, which must be either delivered by hand or registered mail to the address below, not later than 1st October 2006 and be clearly marked "Consultancy Services Under Post Secondary Education Development Project". 8. Please address all communications related to this matter to:Project ManagerConsultancy to Oversee Network and Application Turnkey Projects Executing Agency Mr. Faaig UmarConsulting Services: The Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology (MCST) is seeking consultants to oversee implementation of both Network and Application Turnkey Projects. As part of this task, the consultants will be required to establish and maintain quality control mechanisms, advice the Project Management Unit (PMU) about problems that arise in the implementation and to ensure that the employer's requirements are met by the contractors. Estimated budget for both consultancies is US$ 400,000. The Ministry now invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. The initial invitation of EOI was advertised in the local English newspaper in January 2004. International companies from member countries of ADB should express interest in being shortlisted. EOIs should be sent directly to the above address not later than the working hours of 17 June 2004 with a copy to the Project Officer,The consulting firms should not be in any way associated with contractors who are competing for the Network and Application Turnkey tenders. Interested consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (description of similar assignments undertaken, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc). The letter of invitation to submit detailed Technical and Financial Proposal is expected to be issued in June 2004 to only the shortlisted firms.
