Loan 2006-KAZ: Water Supply and Sanitation Sector

Invitation for Submission of Expressions of Interest (EOI)

Consulting Services for Institutional Development and Sanitation Education

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the Government) has applied part of loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to improve the living standards, public health and economic opportunities of people living in about 80 villages through safe and reliable water supply and improved sanitation facilities. The Project will help the Government to provide the required institutional support to the local municipal governments to enable them to be more self-disciplined in financial, managerial, and technical aspects. The Government intends to use part of the loan proceeds to finance consulting services for providing training on Institutional Development and Sanitary Education under the Project. Details of the terms of reference are available from the Committee of Water Resources (CWR). CWR is the Executing Agency responsible for selecting and engaging consultants in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants, and using the quality-and cost- based selection (QCBS) method.

Institutional Development and Sanitary Education will include:

  • Training Coordinator/Team Leader.
  • Course Design/Module Development Specialists.
  • Specialists/Subject Matter Experts
  • Instructional Materials/Media Development Specialist
Other specialists/resource persons needed will be identified and assessed during the training design preparation.

Eligible firms having sufficient experience, desirous of undertaking the assignment are invited to express their interest latest by 1 September 2007 to the undersigned stating background of their organization and details of professional experience to be assigned to deliver the required service.
