The expected impact of the TA is the provision by regional stakeholders of coherent support to the DRR efforts of national governments and address more effectively corss-border/regional disaster risk reduction (DRR) challenges.
- Project Outcome

The following outcome expected to contribute to the impact will be the preparation of a comprehensive overview of regional DRR interventions that is presented in the wider context of the regional disaster risk profile of Asia and Pacific. The stocktaking is expected to provide improved sharing of information on ongoing and planned DRR initiatives; better coordination and programme planning by regional stakeholders; enhanced use of resources; reduced duplication; sharing of lessons learned; and the identification of gaps in DRR efforts at the regional level.
- Project Outputs

(i) a stocktaking and mapping of DRR intervnetions in the Asia and Pacific region undertaken by various regional organizations, in past, present and upcoming time scales starting from the year 2005; and (ii) an inventory of risk assessments describing the wider context in which regional initiatives are undertaken, and depending on availability, also an inventory of data on disaster vulnerability and hazards
