Activities of the RETA will thus provide:
(i) technical support for further activity in the four development areas;
(ii) support to the knowledge development and networking activities of the CoP; and
(iii) operational support to projects and programs incorporating key elements of the four development areas, in particular those incorporating important donor partnerships, significant PPP activities and/or links to other initiatives such as the carbon market initiative.

The outcome of the RETA will be to expand the scale and scope of ADB urban operations.
- Project Outputs

Outputs of the RETA will be:
(i) analytical work on the four areas of focus;
(ii) further development of a web-based mechanism to maintain the knowledge management and initiation of further networking events and activities for the CoP; and
(iii) in consultation with ODs and the CoP, provision of operational support to projects and programs including (i) sector assessments; (ii) project due diligence; (iii) project structuring; and (iv) implementation support and audits, to enable improved technical, legal and financial design of projects, better administration, and lower the transaction costs of structuring responsive urban projects, both to mission leaders and to clients.
The detailed outputs will be defined in association with the ODs during fact-finding for the RETA.
