Project Impact
Enhanced development effectiveness of the GMS Economic Cooperation Program.

Project Outcome
Improved understanding of the effects of GMS projects on participating countries' socioeconomic development.

Project Outputs
The expected outputs are: i. A database of outcome and impact indicators and their potential determinants. The database will consist of information from the surveys conducted under the RETA and from secondary sources including official surveys, and project documents and databases. ii. Reports including assessments of the intermediate outcomes and impacts of the selected ongoing and completed GMS projects. iii. Lessons from the assessment which could be incorporated into design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of ongoing and future GMS projects.

Consulting Services
The RETA will be implemented in partnership with national research institutes (NRIs) in each country, and will require the services of international and national consultants. for an estimated period of 12 person-months and 9 person-months, respectively. The international consultants will consist of (i) a team leader/coordinator, and (ii) economists/ specialists. The RETA will also engage a national consultant / analyss on an individual basis for 9 person-months to assist the TA Supervising Unit officer in coordinating the RETA activities.
