The Cambodia Country Report assesses the gender equality impact results for the following projects:

The results of the Cambodia Country Report include:

  • Gender action plans (GAPs) are an effective tool for gender mainstreaming and help to achieve results for women
  • GAPs should be based on high quality, comprehensive gender analysis
  • GAPs included in project design should be reviewed early in implementation to develop detailed implementation GAPs
  • Monitoring is needed to ensure that GAPs and gender provisions are implemented
  • Gender specialists are needed to support the implementation of GAPs
  • Leadership from the executing agency and the ADB are critical for implementing GAPs and achieve gender equality results
