Gender Equality Results in ADB Projects

As part of the review of the implementation of the Policy on Gender and Development, the Asian Development Bank conducted Rapid Gender Assessments (RGAs) on gender equality results in selected projects in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, and Pakistan.

The RGAs aim to determine whether the introduction of project-specific Gender Action Plans (GAPs) and strategies has improved project implementation, outreach, and results for women as compared with those for men. Each country assessment reviewed a total of three loans selected from the agriculture, rural development, governance and human development/social (health or education) sectors.
