Technical Assistance

Technical assistance is another important vehicle through which the Bank and NGOs can work together. NGOs can be engaged as consultants, assisting in information gathering and various kinds of analysis. More often, the Bank engages NGOs as cooperating agencies in executing various components of technical assistance projects and in managing aspects of project implementation. In regional conferences and seminars, the Bank invites NGOs to provide specific expertise and technical input. The Bank's technical assistance operations are showing a steadily increasing degree of NGO involvement.
