F. Gender Dimensions of ADB Operations

26. Particular emphasis will be placed on gender and development (GAD) issues during implementation of the Community Development and Participation Initiatives TA7 (associated with SAPHE) to enhance the role of women, their influence on the development process, and their opportunities as individuals. Emphasis will also be placed on gender issues during project preparation of the proposed OIDP to ensure that women's needs are adequately covered, including provision of micro-credit, to promote economic empowerment of women, and to provide them with better opportunities for personal growth within the community.
