B. Main Features of the Poverty Partnership Agreement

46. No poverty partnership agreement (PPA) has been signed. However, the Government is committed to pursuing a path of broad based and participatory growth strategy with a strong commitment to reducing poverty rapidly. Initiating and completing work on the preparation of a PPA will be synchronized with the preparation of a full country strategy and program (CSP), presently scheduled for 2004. The background work for the full CSP is expected to be initiated in 2003.
