I. Current Country Strategy

1. The current Asian Development Bank (ADB) strategy for the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) fully supports the development strategy and policies of the Government1. The strategy was last updated in 2002, covers the period 2003–2005, and pursues the following: (i) enhanced public sector productivity including improved access to basic social services; (ii) enhanced environment for private sector investment, job creation, and growth; and (iii) strengthened public sector governance. The country strategy also fully conforms with the current ADB strategy for the Pacific2.
