The Regional Social Development Advisors' Meeting conducted a forum for regional social development advisors in Asia and the Pacific where they discussed current and future social development challenges and opportunities.

The participants shared the social development agenda of their organizations in the region and discussed opportunities for cooperation.

The meeting, which was the first regional Meeting, was initiated and organized by the Social Development Division, Office of Environment and Social Development (OESD). It was held at the ADB Headquarters in November 2000.
