Evaluation on ADB's Private Sector Operations - Case Studies

The study rated ADB's operations in the private sector as satisfactory, although it found that ADB has yet to realize its full potential to create synergies between its public and private sector operations which have constrained private sector development impacts. The Private Sector Operations Department portfolio has grown in recent years, operations are profitable, and asset quality appears to be sound. ADB should identify new ways to maximize its potential in helping mobilize private sector resources to support socioeconomic development and create the jobs necessary in reducing poverty in the Asia and Pacific region.
