National Resettlement Policy Enhancement and Capacity Building

Purpose

The workshop aims to:

  1. serve as a forum for consultation with key stakeholders on:

    • Draft Resettlement Policy including regulatory and administrative frameworks
    • Guidelines for Resettlement Planning and Implementation
    • Proposal for Capacity Building in Resettlement Planning and Implementation

  2. build consensus in formulating a draft Resettlement Policy including regulatory and administrative frameworks; guidelines for resettlement planning and implementation; proposal for capacity building in resettlement planning and implementation.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • provided inputs to the draft Resettlement Policy and related administrative and regulatory frameworks; guidelines for resettlement planning and implementation; proposal for capacity building in resettlement planning and implementation
  • formulated recommendations for the in-country report to be presented in the Regional Workshop.

  • In-Country Workshop Report
  • Country Report for presentation in the Regional Workshop

Target Participants

Participation is by invitation only. Majority of the participants represent agencies who attended the three consultative meetings which held extensive discussions on the expected TA outputs. They include:

  • government agencies (PEA, NHA, NEDA, DILG, DSWD, DENR, DOTC, DPWH, HGC, HLURB, NHMFC, etc.)
  • national and local WOs/NGOs/CBOs
  • pressure groups and policy advocates
  • international donors and/or aid agencies.
