National Resettlement Policy Enhancement and Capacity Building

Purpose

The workshop aims to:

1. serve as a forum for consultation and build consensus, among key stakeholders, on:
• draft Federal Law and the draft Resettlement Policy, including regulatory and administrative frameworks
• Guidelines for Resettlement Planning and Implementation.
2. also provide an opportunity to submit recommendations in formulating drafts of provincial laws on resettlement within the overall framework of the Federal law (if the proposed Federal law is not acceptable to any or all of the provinces).

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will have:

• provided suggestions for revising the draft Federal Law and the draft Resettlement Policy and/or formulating drafts of provincial laws on resettlement
• formulated recommendations for the in-country report to be presented in the Regional Workshop.

• In-Country Workshop Report
• Country Report for presentation in the Regional Workshop
