Insider's View of the Millennium Project

Purpose

Caren Grown, an economist and member of ADB's External Forum on Gender and Development, will discuss key findings and recommendations from a paper she recently co-authored for the Millennium Project Task Force on Education and Gender Equality, and possible relevance to ADB. The Millennium Project is a UN-sponsored initiative led by Jeffrey Sachs to support the Millennium Development Goals. Ms. Grown will also discuss the general work of the Millennium Project task forces and their future activities.

  • Caren Grown

    Ms. Grown is the Director for Poverty Reduction and Economic Growth at the International Center for Research on Women in Washington, DC. In addition to her work for the Millennium Project, she is currently conducting research and policy analysis for the Commonwealth Secretariat and World Bank.
