Objectives

The Ministerial Conference (MC) will:

• review progress in regional cooperation activities since the 2nd MC in November 2003
• provide direction and policy guidance for the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program

Expected Outputs

• Report of the Senior Officials' Meeting to the 3rd MC
• Joint Ministerial Statement

Participants

Participation is by invitation only.

• Ministerial and senior level officials from each of the governments of Azerbaijan, People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan
• Representatives of multilateral institutions (ADB, EBRD, IMF, ISDB, UNDP, and World Bank)
• Observers from neighboring countries
• Observers from bilateral and other regional organizations
