Joint Study on Infrastructure Development in East Asia - First Regional Workshop
Manila, Philippines, 15-16 January 2004

Purpose

The first in a series of workshops for the Joint Study on Infrastructure Development in East Asia aimed at soliciting views on the intermediate and final outcome of the study.

Objectives

• Present the purpose and scope of the Joint Study, the emerging agenda of major themes and issues to be covered, and the approach being proposed to learn from past experiences and respond to future challenges

• Solicit the views of technical experts and stakeholders with knowledge and experience of infrastructure issues across as wide a range of countries, sectors and perspectives as possible

Output

Baseline on lessons learned in infrastructure development in the region to guide the planning and design of the study
