The Third Transport Sector Coordinating Committee (TSCC) Meeting was held on 1-2 March 2005 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. The Government of Kyrgyz Republic hosted the meting with the support of the Asian Development Bank. The meeting brought together government officials from member countries of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program, including Azerbaijan, People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Representatives from multilateral institutions (European Bank for Development and Reconstruction, Islamic Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank) participated in the meeting.
Participants reviewed and endorsed the Regional Transport Sector Roadmap and TSCC workplan for 2005. In particular, the meeting discussed and endorsed proposals for harmonization of cross border transport procedures and documents among the CAREC member countries.
